How to Measure the Mattress and Box Spring Encasements
In order for the encasement to be effective it is imperative that you properly measure the mattress and box spring.  Start by determining whether the mattress and box spring are twin, full, queen, king or California king.  Then measure the mattress thickness.  Refer to the charts on the Buy Now tab to determine which encasement will fit the mattress and which will fit the box spring.  Keep in mind that our encasements will stretch up to one inch.  You do not want the encasement to be too large as bed bugs can hide in the folds of the extra material.  You also do not want the encasements to be too small as this may cause the material to tear and allow bedbugs to escape.

It is crucial that you also cover the Box Spring.  Box Springs offer even more areas for bed bugs to hide than do the mattresses themselves.  The box spring is often hollow inside allowing for bed bugs to enter and lay their eggs.  To help reduce or even eliminate callbacks be sure to cover the box spring as well.

When measuring the box spring be sure to look to see if there is just one box spring or two twins together!  Do not assume that the box spring is King or Queen just because the mattress is!
